Shooting Wiki
Why not Wikipedia?
Wikipedia is a fantastic resource and an option the founders considered before we started this site. Unfortunately Wikipedia's own guidelines prohibit us from publishing some of the material which we believe is invaluable for beginners and to the benefit of the sport as a whole.
| While Wikipedia has descriptions of people, places, and things, Wikipedia articles should not include instructions, advice (legal, medical, or otherwise) or suggestions, or contain "how-to"s. This includes tutorials, walk-throughs, instruction manuals, video game guides, and recipes. |

What makes Shooting Wiki different
- ISSF shooting events can get lost within the amount of 'shooting' information available on Wikipedia
- ShootingWiki provides a venue for in-depth information specific to ISSF shooting and to the firearms used for ISSF competitions
Who Reads Shooting Wiki?
This is the January 2009 image from Google Analytics. Of course the USA is the strongest, but over from 112 other countries/territories are there as well! So most of the World !
